Spring School on Symmetric Cryptography

The Spring School on Symmetric Cryptography takes places 10 – 14 March 2025 in Rome, Italy (one week before FSE 2025). It covers a broad spectrum within the field of symmetric cryptography and is organized in cooperation with IACR and CASA.

The program features five internationally renowned researchers, each dedicating an entire day to their specialized topic. Each day begins with morning lectures, where the students can absorb cutting-edge knowledge and theoretical insights directly from leading experts. In the afternoon, hands-on exercises enable participants to apply what they've learned, reinforcing their understanding through practical application.

This spring school is primarily intended for Master's students in their last year of studies and PhD students.

The program will conclude with a group dinner on Friday evening.

Accommodation and Hotels

In the year 2025 there is Jubilee and it can be expected that Rome will be even busier than usual. We recommend booking your hotel room well in advance.

Registration

We have reached full capacity and are no longer accepting registrations at this time

Naturally, we only have a limited number of participants that we can host. This is even more true, as participation in the school is free of charge. In order to make a suitable selection in case we get more registrations than we have slots available, we ask you to provide a short motivation why you like to participate in the spring school.
