Postdoc Program

CASA places particular emphasis on promoting postdoctoral researchers working in cybersecurity, ensuring that they are well-prepared and can make informed decisions about their future careers. Postdocs will gain key technical qualifications, develop scientific independence, and build international networks.

CASA Jump.Start Program for Postdocs

The CASA Jump.Start program offers young researchers the opportunity to develop and realize their own independent research project right at the start of their careers.

The program aims to support outstanding postdocs who completed their dissertation no more than four years ago. Participants receive individual guidance from an experienced Principal Investigator (PI) who serves as their mentor and supports them in further developing their research. The overarching goals are to secure independent third-party funding projects, such as an ERC Starting Grant or an Emmy Noether Young Researchers Group, as well as to qualify for a tenure-track position.

The CASA Jump.Start program serves as a springboard for outstanding early-career researchers and creates ideal conditions for them to develop their own unique research profiles.

Firsthand Insights

“I am truly grateful and happy to have the opportunity to participate in the CASA Jump Start program. The support and resources provided have been very helpful for my research, and I greatly appreciate this valuable opportunity to grow academically and advance my work.”

- Lorenzo Grassi, former participant in the CASA Jump.Start program, received an ERC Starting Grant in 2024 for his research project “Getting SYMmetric CryPtography Out of its Comfort ZONe” and is now an assistant professor at TU Eindhoven.
