Description
Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) is one of the leading research universities in Germany. As a reform-oriented campus university, it uniquely combines the entire range of the major scientific disciplines in one place. The dynamic coexistence of disciplines offers researchers and students alike special opportunities for interdisciplinary cooperation.
The Cluster of Excellence, "CASA - Cyber Security in the Age of Large-Scale Adversaries" at Ruhr-University Bochum offers postdoctoral positions within our “CASA Jump.Start Program for Postdocs”.
About CASA
CASA conducts research on sustainable computer security against powerful, large-scale attackers, in particular nation-states. The Cluster is funded within the Excellence Strategy of the Federal Government and the Länder. The funding of 30 million euros allows us to lend excellent support to the needs and ambitions of upcoming scientists.
Research at CASA, which is based at the Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security, follows a strongly interdisciplinary approach. In addition to technical questions, it also investigates the interaction of human behavior and IT security. At CASA, researchers from the fields of computer science, cryptography, electrical engineering, mathematics, and psychology work together in a unique constellation in Europe. This holistic approach is unparalleled and holds the potential for scientific breakthroughs.
CASA Jump.Start Program for Postdocs
As part of our Postdoc Jump.Start Program, we are permanently looking for excellent postdoctoral candidates with an outstanding track record in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, and psychology (preferably with a relationship to technology) or related disciplines.
