Thema: Body Positivity and Academia
"Bodies – we all have one and yet none is the same. It helps us do the things we enjoy. It connects us with other people and allows us to express our feelings and thoughts. Our body is elemental and yet we often wage war against it. When a person is devalued because of their appearance, it is called lookism. What role does our body/look/appearance play in the context of science and what does a female scientist look like anyway? To generate a mood picture about this, to exchange ideas, to discuss terms of the movement "Body Positivity" are in the focus of this meeting. We are looking forward to exchanging thoughts with you!"
