The scientific magazine "Rubin" is published twice a year at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. In July 2023, there will be a special issue on IT security, with presentations of various projects and topics of the CASA excellence cluster and the Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security.

RUB press release says:

Many people are simply happy when technology works without having to deal with the details. IT applications should primarily be easy to use. Security is only considered in the second step. However, things are different at the Horst-Görtz Institute for IT Security and the Cluster of Excellence CASA, short for "Cybersecurity in the Age of Large-Scale Attackers." The IT experts at the Ruhr-University Bochum strive to stay one step ahead of attackers. They are helped, for example, by intelligent monkeys, mathematical hunter fences, or holes in a computer case. Interested readers can find out what this is all about in the science magazine Rubin. A special issue on IT security was published on July 3, 2023.

The booklet can be ordered in print at hgi-presse(at)rub.de. It can also be read online as a flip-book at this link. For more information, visit this page.
