The Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security (HGI), Research Department of the RUB, is one of the most renowned institutes in the field of IT security in Europe. The HGI offers Europe's largest training program for IT security, has extensive networks in science and practice, and has produced numerous successful start-ups in the field of cyber security. Since 2019, the HGI is home to the Excellence Cluster "CASA: Cyber Security in the Age of Large-Scale Adversaries", the only German Excellence Cluster in the field of IT security. CASA is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) with approximately 30 million euros.

Your responsibilities:
- Equality and diversity measures: Organization of the Women in Security and Cryptography Workshop (WISC) 2025, conception and organization of various training sessions and exchange formats on equality and diversity topics, preparation and organization of meetings of the CASA Commission for Equal Opportunities and Diversity
- Project management: Preparation and conception of internal management board meetings and mid-term reviews for CASA research projects, administration of calls for internal research projects
- Event management: Organization of CASA Distinguished Lectures, support for various central CASA events (including the annual retreat of all CASA researchers)
- General coordination and networking with internal and external stakeholders
Your profile:
- Successfully completed academic university studies (Master or Diploma).
- Desirable: professional experience in the management of externally funded projects at a German university
- Desirable: professional experience in the fields of equality and diversity
- Structured approach to work, planning and organizational skills
- High level of initiative and personal responsibility
- Execellent communication skills (fluent German and English), both written and spoken
- Interest in the field of IT security
