Open Call: Artist Wanted for Artist Residency RE:SEARCHING IT SECURITY

From January 17 to March 18, 2022, an artist residency themed RE:SEARCHING IT SECURITY will be held at the CASA.

IT security permeates almost all areas of social life and is at the same time very complex and multi-layered. In the artist residency, it will be made more accessible through artistic expression and viewed from new perspectives.

The topics of privacy, cyberattacks, and surveillance will be among the focal points. In an artistic way, a discourse on the relevance of IT security as well as potential dangers and challenges is to be created, enabling people and users to gain a new understanding of cyber security and its impact on society. It also creates new impulses in research.

For the residency, we are looking for an artist who will work closely with our CASA researchers at the interface of science and art to develop and implement new ideas. The developed artwork will then be presented and discussed at a digital symposium next year.
