Computer Science Day

Every year in February, we celebrate the Computer Science Day. The networking event invites all interested parties, RUB members, partners of the faculty and, of course, faculty members to spend an afternoon exploring computer science.

Researchers from the faculty present the latest state of their research in exciting short talks in an entertaining and understandable way. At the get-together afterwards, you can exchange ideas with the speakers and other participants, network and discover overlaps with your area of interest.

2025: Computer Science day goes Research Center trust

We dedicate a whole afternoon to the Research Center “
Trustworthy Data Science and Security” of the Research Alliance Ruhr: What exactly is the RC Trust? And how can the goal of trustworthy and understandable intelligent technology be achieved?

After a short introduction with answers to these questions, Ivan Habernal, Professor of Trustworthy Human Language Technology and Bilal Zafar, Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Society (both at the RC Trust and the Faculty of Computer Science at RUB), will give their inaugural lectures.
