Christmas Greetings

2021 was an eventful year for us: With the historic founding of the Faculty of Computer Science, the HGI has also found a new home. The recently established Faculty will certainly provide many new opportunities for an even closer collaboration with other computer science-related researchers and bundle existing expertise.

The CASA Retreat in September and the first workshop "Women in Security and Cryptography" (WISC) of the CASA Cluster of Excellence are more highlights in 2021, which offered various opportunities for scientific exchange. At the same time, we were able to continue our dialogue with international researchers by establishing online formats such as the CASA Distinguished Lecture. 

In addition, we are widening our perspective and aim to give artistic expression to our field of research: The artist residency and an art installation will make IT security more accessible and create new impulses. Be curious about the artwork developed in the coming year! In 2022, there will also be further new appointments and reinforcements. We look forward to the journey together with exciting, innovative and multifaceted projects!
