Management

The guiding governance principle of CASA is to enable top-level research through fair and transparent decision-making processes. In order to achieve this goal, the cluster organization relies on three boards, the Management Board, the Early Career Researcher Board and the Equal Opportunity Board. Moreover, CASA is supported by the Advisory Board, which is composed of leading international scientists.

The Management Board is responsible for quality assurance and evaluation of all CASA activities, including the scientific program, the Early Career Researcher program, the Equal Opportunity Program, the CASA Conference, and the transfer activities.

The Early Career Researcher Board decides about all funding allocations regarding the CASA Graduate School (CGS). The board has its own budget and the autonomy to dynamically adapt the programs to the changing needs of ECR members.

The Equal Opportunity Board coordinates all equal opportunity and gender-related

Activities within the Cluster. The Equal Opportunity Board will have the autonomy to dynamically adapt the programs to the changing needs of CASA members.

The Advisory Board consists of eight leading international scientists. It will assist the Management Board with evaluating the cluster’s overall scientific performance and advise on the general scientific strategy.
